2005 News Archive

  • 06 October 2005.  Wal-Mart has picked ALONE to be the Read of the Month for January '06.  Lisa is flattered, honored and thrilled.  Now she must go listen to more Garth Brooks.  What an amazing voice!  Thank you Wal-Mart (and Garth!).

  • 20 September 2005.  Bobby Dodge rides again.  Lisa has officially kicked off her next novel, spending three days in Boston researching with the Boston Police Department.  The new book, cleverly titled Book Nine and due out sometime in '07, will be a sequel to ALONE.  Bobby Dodge and Detective D.D. Warren have been summoned to a crime scene that appears eerily similar to Mr. Bosu's handiwork.  And when the lone survivor turns out to be the spitting image of Catherine Gagnon...  Naturally, much murder and mayhem ensues.

  • 26 August 2005.  Lisa hobnobs with the stars!  Lisa was thrilled and delighted to be invited to speak to the Anderson Merchandisers district reps in Dallas, Texas.  Following her absolutely dazzling (she hopes) luncheon presentation, organizers announced a surprise guest:  Garth Brooks.  Garth walked.  Garth talked.  Garth sat down and gave a twenty minute live concert that had everyone dancing in their seats.  In the bad news department, very few sales reps probably remember much about the luncheon speech after that.  In the good news department, Lisa can now say she's opened for Garth Brooks.  So that's her story and she's sticking to it!

  • 1 June 2005.  Lisa is very proud to report that she's wrapped up her latest novel, GONE, which will be available January/February of 2006.  This exciting sequel to THE KILLING HOUR continues Rainie and Quincy's story, as Rainie has been kidnapped and her family and friends must race against the clock to rescue her.  Enjoy reuniting with many favorite characters from previous novels and well as meeting new faces.

  • 21 March 2005. Lisa has just concluded her first London book tour.  She wants to thank all of her overseas readers who helped make the week such a success.  While Lisa worked hard, two-year old Grace got to play in the big city.  No royal sightings, but Grace did manage to catch Ewan McGregor at the premier of Robots.  Needless to say, it was a very good week and Lisa can't wait to visit again.
